Where do I begin with Sam and Marc?! They are so totally awesome and we had such a great time on this engagement shoot around Boston.

I typically recommend that a couple make a date out of engagement pictures, grab a bite to eat and a few drinks so they’re in the “love zone” and loosened up. So we did just that!

First stop, Harpoon Brewery. The staff at Harpoon was nice enough to let us past the “red tape” to get some sweet shots and they didn’t leave Sam and Marc empty handed! They gave them each a free growler of their favorite Harpoon Brew… now that’s the type of customer service I’m talkin’ ’bout!

I seem to attract brides and grooms that are very similar to one another in that they are energetic lovers of life! What I love most about Sam and Marc is that they love to play and goof around together. You know what they say, a family that plays together, stays together! I know that Sam and Marc have a bright road of love ahead of them!

As a photographer of love, my main goal is to capture the spirit of a couple and the love they that they share.

With Al & Sarin this was no challenge at all, they are such warm hearted people {clearly}. They are light spirited and within one conversation with them I could tell they enjoy life as much as each other (note: yes they are actually rolling around in the grass in their fancy clothes = LOVE!).

{Passionate. Happy. Fun. Classy. Chill.} These are the immediate words that come to mind when I think of Al & Sarin.

I always make sure my clients are happy and having fun when I’m documenting their moments together, but this time was different… I didn’t need to entertain or loosen them up. I asked them before hand to pretend they are on a date and to ignore me as much as they could! Clearly this was no problem for them and I captured some truly beautiful moments.

For me and my clients… engagement sessions are all about hanging out, feeling comfortable and groovin’ on a good vibe! {We were certainly havin’ a good ole time, that’s for sure. Matt, Lisa and I were accompanied by Boston based stylist Thahn Pham & Artist/ Designer Kristen Cavallo, SO FUN!} This was the kind of shoot where I was floating on cloud 9; the people, the scenery, the good light… it was a triple threat kind of day. Lisa is the type of girl you fall in love with right off the bat + Matty is a ball of energy and hilarity = VIBRANT LOVE!!! I am so looking forward to their June 2012 wedding…

I read a sign this week that said “True Love Is A Big Deal” and it really stuck with me… well, because it is a huge deal! As you can see Melanie & Brad love being in love! They’re the type of people you meet and automatically know you like them! Originally we were planning to meet and talk wedding photography but quickly decided to bring my camera, what a smart choice. Thankfully they were game to get down and dirty!  I am uber excited to shoot their wedding, I have a feeling it’s going to be a rippah {as the Bostonians say}!!!

Lianne & Jeff are 2 peas in a pod. They compliment each other so well and yes I could tell this by only spending a short time with them while I shot their e|Story {AKA an engagement shoot that tells a love story}. Here is the love story of Jeff & Lianne, narrated by Lianne.

I would say Jeff and I are an example of love at first sight.  It may not be your typical fairy tale…but it looks like we are headed for a happy ending!

Jeff and I grew up in the same town and attended the same high school, but it wasn’t until after I graduated high school that we met. One Thursday night a group decided to head to a local karaoke bar and it just so happens Jeff and I ended up sitting at the same table with some mutual friends.

The first night we met we spend the entire night talking and when it was time to leave he asked if he could walk me to my car.  As he closed my door I turned to my friend and told her that I had to go back the following week to see him…and I did.

Just six months later Jeff flew down to North Carolina for a wedding I was in.  He didn’t know anyone except the bride and myself, but Jeff made the best of it, made new friends, danced, drank and made me feel like I had the best date.

It was then, I knew for sure he had to be my best date for the rest of my life!

Walking around Mystic, CT with Katie & Blake was so much fun. They are such a stylish and classy couple who really know how to work it for the camera! I am eagerly waiting to shoot their wedding day in July, it’s going to be a blast.

Ok… enough of this “engagement shoot” business! This was a straight up “play date”. Samm & Matt are such an incredible and unique couple who really knows how to “play” together. I feel like since I’ve moved to Boston I haven’t been doing much in terms of e-shoot & weddings but I’m here to tell you… Samm and Matt have put me back on the bandwagon! April K is officially BACK!!!! They reminded me of the #1 reason I am so passionate about the photography of 2 people who are in love!!! It’s so much  $^&*# FUN!!!!

Ok…so Jenny isn’t exactly Cinderella, but in my opinion this blue and rhinestone combo just sang “Cinderella” to me (exactly what song would that even be?). Jenny and I have been the best of friends since the first day we met at Vertis Communications, one of the only Advertising Agencies in the Capital Region of NY. Shortly there-after Mike came strolling along and Jenny couldn’t resist his baby blues! The two have been gazing into each-others eyes for a little over 2 years and recently Mike sealed the deal with a diamond. I hope you enjoy my representation of these “2 Seeds In a Love Pod” romping around Albany, NY.
