In the comfort of your home - no packing bags or leaving with a newborn.
What if my baby is fussy?
We move at your baby’s pace. Feeding, soothing, and pauses are all part of the experience.
Do I need a perfect house?
Absolutely not! I’ve photographed in tiny Boston condo’s, giant suburban mansions, crowded homes of parents that just moved, and everything in between. What I’m looking for is the natural light and small spaces, a window and a bed are often all we need.

Calming a Fussy Baby
“As my due date was approaching last summer, I started the search for a newborn photographer to capture precious photos of our daughter and family in the comfort of our own home. In reviewing Yelp and other sites, April K Photography style was also a great fit for what I was looking for...classic, simple, and pure.
We had our session with April when our little one was two weeks old, and despite our daughter's fussy state of mind during 90% of our time with April, she was able to get many incredible photos of her and our family...including the dogs. She also captured the nursery in several amazing photos. April remained calm and calming (for me!) while the baby fussed...she assured me we would get some great shots...and she did!
She was fantastic to work with before, during, and after the shoot, and, as a result, we have gorgeous, extremely high quality photos of our sweet baby girl to cherish for a lifetime. Looking forward to working with April again someday!~ Marissa H.
